Sir Gavin Williamson attended a May Fayre at St John’s Church in Essington.
Sir Gavin was joined by residents to celebrate the beginning of summer with village festivities. Sir Gavin was keen to meet with those running stalls at the event, where there were activities for everyone to get involved in. Volunteers had organised a raffle, wheel of fortune, and tombola, as well as cake stands and plant stalls.
Sir Gavin said: “It was wonderful to see the community in Essington get together on a lovely summer day to take part in games and meet others from the village. I’d like to thank all those who worked hard to put on a fantastic event, which I know was eagerly anticipated and greatly enjoyed.”
