Sir Gavin Williamson visited Bridge Manor Care Home in Wombourne for its Open Day, where he celebrated alongside residents.
Sir Gavin paid a visit to Bridge Manor Care Home to celebrate its Open Day and meet with staff, residents, and families. The event featured a number of different stalls, performers, and the letting go of balloons to commemorate residents who had passed away.
Bridge Manor Care Home, run by Avery Healthcare, boasts 66 spacious en-suite bedrooms as well as facilities such as a hair salon, a library and a cinema room. It distinguishes itself through its use of technology to help residents live their lives to the fullest, whether that is by connecting with family and friends who are too far to visit or by using music and video for therapy purposes.
Sir Gavin said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Bridge Manor Care Home and was impressed by the level of attention that is paid to residents’ needs. It is so important that we care for the elderly and give them as many opportunities as possible, and I am heartened to see that we have such great care facilities in Staffordshire.”
