Sir Gavin Williamson attended the centenary celebrations of the Kingswood Trust, an educational charity based in Perton.
Sir Gavin visited the grounds of the Kingswood Trust and celebrated the charity’s efforts to preserve the environment and promote outdoor learning. During the event, a freshly refurbished exhibition space was unveiled, tracing the history of the Trust from its beginnings in 1923. Sir Gavin also participated in the burying of a time capsule, which included letters and poems from the local community.
The Kingswood Trust is a charity that facilitates outdoor education and learning with nature. It began as a holiday camp in 1923, providing holidays for children from poorer backgrounds. Nowadays, it offers a variety of activities for schools, families, and community groups.
