Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, today visited the annual South Staffs Jobs Fayre.
There were over 40 businesses exhibiting at the event, including the likes of G4S, Jaguar Land Rover and Veolia.
More than 400 visitors attended the fair, making the most of the opportunity to meet with local employers and find out more about any training, apprenticeship or job opportunities.
There were also three 20-30 minute workshops held throughout the day on the topics of starting up a business, CVs and interview techniques, and volunteering.
On the South Staffs Job Fayre, Gavin said: “I had a wonderful time at the South Staffs Job Fayre. I would particularly like to thank South Staffordshire Council for all the hard work that they have put in to making this event a reality.
“It was fantastic to see so many people turn up for the event and the atmosphere on the day was extremely positive. I have no doubt that the fair will have provided a big boost to both businesses and jobs in the local area.”
The South Staffs Job Fayre took place between 10am to 2pm, on April 26th, at the Perton Civic Centre.
