Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, paid a visit to All Saints’ Primary School in Trysull, on April 23.
Gavin was taken on a tour of school building by All Saints’ pupils, before being offered the opportunity to mix with staff, Governors and students over tea and cake.
During the visit, Gavin also met Mrs. Mildred Wasike, a teacher from Kenya who was spending time at the school as part of an exchange program.
Gavin said: “It was a real delight to visit All Saints’ Primary School, where I was given a great tour by three Year 6 pupils, who showed me around the school and explained the many activities that students can take part in.
“I very much enjoyed meeting the Governors, pupils and staff. It was also extremely interesting to meet Mrs. Wasike and to hear all about teaching and life in Kenya. All Saints’ Primary School is a very well respected school in the local community and it was a pleasure to see the outstanding work that takes place each day towards making it such an outstanding school.”
