Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, had an update on recent improvements
The club, which has existed for over fifty years, is part of the Wombourne Cricket, Tennis & Bowling Club in the centre of the village. The committee was very pleased to announce that they have recently installed two new all-weather courts, part of a £27,000 revamp. The courts will be officially unveiled at the Open Day on April 14th, an event which is open to the public.
Commenting on the visit, Gavin said: " Wombourne Cricket, Tennis & Bowls Club is a real asset that benefits the whole community and something that we can be really proud of - a first-rate facility in South Staffordshire. I was really impressed to hear that the Tennis Club has two new all-weather courts installed as a result of a £27,000 revamp. The official opening event for the courts will be held on the 14th April and all members of the public are welcome to attend".
