Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited the Perton Civic Centre for the annual event.
Perton Village Show, organised by the Parish Council, aims to enhance the existing community spirit within Perton, as well as showcasing the local talent. The show hosts a number of competitions from jam making to poetry.
Gavin was invited to officially open the event which saw him say a few words about the effort that had been put into the event, as well as the efforts of local residents in Perton. Gavin also sponsored the trophy which was awarded to the winner of the Novelty Classes in the Dog Show.
Commenting on the event, Gavin said: “I had a wonderful time attending the Perton Village Show on Saturday. The show committee worked extremely hard again this year and the day was such a great success.
I was so impressed by the competition entries and it is clear that there is a great deal of talent in Perton. I really look forward to attending again next year and I know that standards will continue to be incredibly high."
