Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, visited Church in the Village to enjoy afternoon tea with the members on Friday 27th February.
Gavin visited the club on Station Road to meet with its members. Over tea and cake, they discussed with Gavin, a broad range of local issues.
Church in the Village (CITV) is an opportunity to meet in the Forget-Me-Not Club, Codsall village, for music, fellowship, tea and cakes. The tea takes place once a month on the last Friday from 2:30 pm.
Gavin recently visited the premises to open their new kitchen facilities which were refurbished after they were granted £8000 from a lottery fund.
Gavin said: “It is always a treat visiting this club. I really enjoy being able to sit down with the members to chat and discuss local issues. The Church in the Village is a great example of the strong sense of community that exists in South Staffordshire. We are lucky to have so many community led groups in the area which keep the community spirit alive.”
