Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, cut the ribbon at the official opening of Coffee 212, in Wombourne, on Friday.
The new coffee shop opened to the public earlier this year, but the official opening ceremony took place, this month, at its premises in Unit E Central Buildings on Wombourne High Street.
The Coffee 212 brand and concept is the brainchild of an experienced team of three entrepreneurs, Ian Broom, Keith Holt and Greg White.
Ian Broom and Keith Holt are both senior stakeholders and between them have a combined 50 years expertise and success building separate independent, international businesses in customer service based environments.
Greg White is the third member of the executive team and brings a wealth of coffee shop experience to the enterprise.
The name 212 relates to the temperature at which water boils and produces steam, reflecting the team’s passion to give the extra degree that will provide the best possible experience for their customers.
On the opening, Gavin said: “It is always wonderful to be able to welcome new businesses to our high streets. Small and medium sized businesses are thriving right now in South Staffordshire, with a recent report revealing that turnover has increased by seven percent over the past year.
“Coffee 212 is a great example of the sort of start-ups we want to be attracting to our villages and I very much look forward to buying my coffee from the shop whenever I am in Wombourne.”
