Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, is calling for action to resolve problems with parking and congestion at Cheslyn Hay Primary School.
Gavin met with the school last week to discuss the ongoing problems that parents are experiencing dropping off and picking their children up from school.
The daily deadlock has also given rise to difficulties for motorists in the surrounding area, seeking to navigate or park on the crowded roads.
In the meeting, Gavin agreed to contact the District Council and County Council to request that action be taken to address the ongoing issue.
Gavin said: “These problems have been ongoing now for very long time and have been causing tremendous stress for both parents and local residents.
“The current system is clearly not working. Thought needs to be put into what action can be taken to make this school access fit for purpose. At the very least, a drop off zone or extra parking needs to be created to reduce the amount of congestion on the roads.”
