Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, attends coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support
Gavin joined with local residents, Pattingham Village Hall, to raise money for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, where this year residents managed to raise over £1400.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is an annual event run by Macmillan Cancer Support. Thousands of people across the country get involved every year to raise money for the charity.
Speaking about the event, Gavin said ‘‘I always love attending Macmillan Coffee mornings – it is an event I really look forward to as not only do I get to spend time with my constituents, but we are also able to raise awareness and funds for a really worthwhile cause. Every year it shows the best in our community - to see the amount of work that had been put into the event this year and I was delighted to hear that over £1400 was raised for Macmillan. It is a fantastic charity and I know that the funds will ensure that no one has to suffer from cancer alone.’’
