Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, went on a tour of Oldbury UK on Friday, 22nd of March.
Gavin visited the factory premises at the Balliol Business Park, where he met with Group Managing Director Richard Skan, Group Sales and Marketing Director Allan Burley, Group Manufacturing Director Clive Higgs and Group Engineering Director Carl Holroyd.
Gavin was greeted with coffee, before taking part in a tour of the facility, during which he had the opportunity to meet a number of the company’s employees.
Gavin said: “I am very much enjoyed visiting Oldbury UK. This was my second visit to the factory on Balliol Road, but my first opportunity to go on a full tour of the premises and I greatly enjoyed seeing the enormous range of products that the company produces.
“Factories, such as Oldbury, play an extremely important part in South Staffordshire’s economy. Oldbury is one of the companies that is taking a leading role in the development of manufacturing in the area and has done a huge amount for both employment and skills in the region. As a company that exports the large part of its products abroad, this is exactly the kind of business we should be supporting, looking forward.”
