Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, joined students for a Q&A session.
Brewood Middle School were invited to London last week for a guided tour of Parliament, as well as a Q&A session with Gavin. The school has been learning about Parliament and British Values, and the visit was organised to build upon their learning.
The students asked Gavin a series of questions which mainly focused on his role as a Member of Parliament. Alongside this, Gavin answered questions about the conventions within Parliament and explained the voting processes that take place.
Commenting on the day, Gavin said: "I really enjoyed spending time with students from Brewood Middle School when they visited Parliament last week. The pupils had some brilliant questions during the Q&A session and I was impressed to see how much effort they had put into their work.
I very much hope that the class enjoyed their visit and that they now have a greater understanding of Parliament and democracy."
