Sir Gavin Williamson recently met with chemical research and manufacturing SI Group, based on the Four Ashes estate in Staffordshire. The company has an international reach, with its HQ based in Texas, and is an innovator in the field of performance additives and process solutions.
Sir Gavin visited their manufacturing plant near Wolverhampton, where the chemicals produced are used in many different industries world-wide. The company manufactures performance additives and chemical intermediates, essential substances used to improve the performance of other chemicals and products. The company is an asset to the wide range of industries that use Staffordshire as a base for manufacturing, these businesses boost the local economy by providing jobs for Staffordshire communities and widening the skillset of those that take up work there.
