Sir Gavin Williamson recently visited Homes Plus’s Wrottesley Village in Perton to learn more about plans to build 220 new homes.
Sir Gavin met with Sarah Boden, the Chief Executive of Homes Plus, as well as Kerry Bollister, the Development Director, to discuss challenges in obtaining technical approval for a new road spur off the roundabout along Wrottesley Park Road.
The 22.4-acre site is located near Wrottesley Golf Club and will see the construction of 220 homes for outright sale, rent, and shared ownership.
Sir Gavin said: “I enjoyed visiting Wrottesley Village and touring some of the great new houses that will soon be on offer. I was especially heartened to learn about Homes Plus’s apprenticeship scheme, and about how they plan to give back to the local community. All in all, I am optimistic about the opportunities that this new development will provide to the people of South Staffordshire.”
Sarah Boden said: "We were delighted to welcome Sir Gavin to our Wrottesley Village development, enabling him to see first-hand the excellent progress being made on site. We were pleased that Sir Gavin recognised the quality of the new homes, and the efforts made to ensure the new development blends in with the surrounding area and other nearby properties."
