Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, has been named on The Times’ Top 100 people on the Right list.
The list, compiled by broadcaster and blogger Iain Dale for the Red Box column in The Times, reveals the 100 top people on the Right as considered by a distinguished panel of politicians and pundits.
Notable names on the list include the Prime Minister, members of the Cabinet, Ministers, respected businessmen and women as well as former political heavyweights.
Coming in at number 100, this is Gavin’s first time on the list. He is applauded for his work as the Parliamentary private secretary to the Prime Minister as well as voicing his down to earth views.
Gavin said: “I am extremely honoured, if not a little bit surprised, to have made it onto the Top 100 list. I find myself in the company of some very influential politicians, so it’s nice to be able to scrape in at 100 and I’ll enjoy the celebrity status before I’m inevitably booted off it next year.”
