Sir Gavin Williamson has written to Staffordshire County Council to demand repairs be made to the road on the A460 M54 roundabout near Featherstone.
Sir Gavin has raised his concerns with the Council regarding the surface conditions of the road. He urged the Council to investigate the many complaints about the roundabout, which is filled with potholes and has been left in poor condition. He expressed his concerns that without action being taken, the poor road surface could be dangerous for motorists. Potholes can also cause significant damage to vehicles and prevent smooth traffic flow. Sir Gavin requested that the Council take immediate action to repair the road surface to prevent these issues.
Sir Gavin said: ‘The dreadful state of the road on the A460 M54 roundabout is concerning for vehicle owners as it increases the risk of damage to their vehicles as well as to themselves. I’ve written to the Council to request that they prioritise this issue and will continue to push for the road to be repaired as soon as possible.’
