Sir Gavin Williamson attended Huntington’s Christmas Festival with Huntington Parish Council, where the start of the festive season was marked by a heart-warming show of community spirit.
Sir Gavin attended the Christmas festival which was a collaborative effort from the Huntington community. Children from Littleton Green Community School decorated the tree with beautiful hand painted baubles, then serenaded the crowd with Christmas songs. The celebrations didn’t stop there, as Dippy the Clown provided some laughs to warm up a pretty chilly audience. To the delight of many little onlookers, Santa had also come down from the North Pole to make an appearance.
Sir Gavin said: “It was a real pleasure to take part in the Huntington Christmas Festival, and I want to thank all those involved for making the day such an excellent celebration. I always enjoy getting to join in with local festivities, getting to meet lots of new friendly faces and of course having lots of mince pies! A wonderful way to start of the Christmas season and I hope to be back next year.”
