Gavin Williamson, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for South Staffordshire, attended a charity event at Great Wyrley Working Mens Club to raise money for Aimee Heath who suffers from Cerebral Palsy.
Aimee contracted Meningitis at 5 days old and as a result suffers from Cerebral Palsy. Aimee cannot sit, stand, walk or talk and is tube fed. Her mother, Charlotte, has found a specialised trike which will accommodate for her day to day needs. The trike costs £2,100 and they are hope that the event will raise some money to be put towards this.
The event had a craft table along with a variety of stalls. One of the stalls hoping to raise the most money was the sponsored head shave as well which Aimee’s mother took part in, having her long hair cut short.
Gavin said: “As a father myself, hearing Aimee’s story hit me very hard. I would like to thank Aimee’s parents who organised such a fantastic event and I would urge everyone who can to donate to Aimee’s cause so she can get the trike that she so desperately needs.”
