Like many of you, I was shocked and concerned by plans to build 1,900 new houses on Green Belt land between Linthouse Lane and Kitchen Lane in Essington.
I passionately believe that the Green Belt should be protected as much as possible, especially on proposals such as these which would act to remove the buffer between Essington and Wolverhampton. Moreover, this plan would put further strain on schools and hospitals in the area as well as causing an unacceptable increase in traffic.
I am distributing a survey in the area in order to collect your views on these proposals. I have already called on the Council to reject the plans and I hope to use your testimonies as proof of the damage this development will do to local residents.
Please do continue to get in touch with me about this issue, whether that is by sending in your responses to my survey or by contacting my office directly via email or telephone.
